I just got back from an awesome Saturday afternoon adventure with Jess Alpert, one of my wonderful producers at WBUR. We blue lined it out to East Boston to take our own culinary tour of the neighborhood, which is probably one of the most diverse in Boston, and talked to chefs and owners at a bunch of different restaurants, from Italian to El Salvadoran to Vietnamese (yep, there’s just one vietnamese restaurant in Eastie, and we found it…along with its adorable, incredibly hard-working owner, Hoa.)
Now, its back to the drawing board (or the audio software, rather) — Jess and I are each going to work on our own versions of the story and compare notes, and hopefully have the piece ready to go by next week. I will keep you posted on when it airs…I’m pretty sure it’ll be drool-worthy.
